Solar Doppler Tuning Knob:
Explore the intricacies and features present on the Sun in stunning detail using the exclusive true Doppler tuning pressure system (side black knob); this will allow the viewer to change their view of the sun with the finest of adjustments, simply by adjusting the pressure with a knob, adding a 3-D-like component to the viewing experience. It certainly has a normal effect on the prominences due to their location at the edge of the disk, but it has a greater effect on the filaments and also on the active regions of the surface. Additionally, while looking at a filament in the center of the Sun, the user has the ability to do a Doppler shift from the base of the filament to the tip. In this way, follow the filament through your structure towards you and away from you. Surprisingly, this allows for greater visual and imaging capabilities for the observer, as well as a research tool for the avid hobbyist In addition, the pressure adjustment system provides an order of magnitude more precision in setting the desired characteristics.

Herschel White Light Solar Wedge:
For white light visual observation and imaging, Lunt wedges come with a built-in ND3 filter. Alternatively, if you want to do visual observation, we recommend dimming the image of your eyes with a polarizing filter. First put a polarizing filter on the bottom of your eyepiece. Then adjust the brightness to your comfort by turning the eyepiece. This accessory can be used with other Refractor Astronomical Telescopes up to 5 inches in aperture or less, regardless of make or model.

Astronomical and Terrestrial Observation:
The LS80MT transforms from a full Hydrogen Alpha telescope to an astronomical or ground-based telescope in just a few minutes by simply removing the Hydrogen Alpha module, and replacing them with the backing plate and focuser to start traveling among the stars at night or for ground applications during the day.
